Roller cam recommendation

I have a 69 442 conv. with a 455/200-4R, 3.42 gears. Currently running a lunati voodoo 60803 cam, & have recently added a FiTech efi system. What I'm wondering is if there's anything to be gained by going to a hyd. roller (4/7 swap)? Car is primarily pleasure driven, go to the strip on occasion. Heard maybe Mark(cutlassefi) might be the guy to talk to?

Unless your looking for more power, smoother idle, or some other change in engine characteristic, why would you want to change the cam? If the engine runs and does what you want it to do, and your happy with the way it performs, leave it alone and enjoy it.

Roller cams are great great, no more worries of cams going flat, no worries about the zinc content of oil, etc but they are expensive. Most likely you will have to change valve springs, you will almost certainly need to change pushrods, rocker arms, all this add up to the cost.

I dont want to rain rain on your parade, but unless your building a new engine, or need to repair what you have, or need to make some changes to address problems, if it ain’t broke don’t fix it
