Rocker Arm Torque Check

Trying to make sure I understand torque procedure on 400ci rocker arms..

When in installing the arm assy and bolts to each cylinder, the valves should be in the full close position and then torque evenly to 25 ft-lbs.

My rockers are already installed and I am just rechecking the torque after first drive. Can I check and re-torque (if needed) with the valves in any valve position?

Thanks,
Jeff

Yes, as they are already tightened down. This is not a requirement but will not hurt to give you peace of mind.
