Rebuilt 455 start up question
I have a 468 BBO installed in my 68 442 that was rebuilt in early 2014 and installed back in the car in the spring of this year. Circumstances have arisen that have kept progress on the car to a minimum since then. Now the car is reaching the stage where once the wiring is complete, we'll be ready to fire it up.
While the engine was out of the car, I would occasionally pull the plugs and manually turn the engine. Since the engine has been reinstalled I have not turned it over at all.
The engine has been on a Dyno when it was finished, so break-in time is completed. I just wonder what precautions I should take before attempting to fire it up?
Thanks for your input...
