Rebuilt 455 start up question

I have a 468 BBO installed in my 68 442 that was rebuilt in early 2014 and installed back in the car in the spring of this year. Circumstances have arisen that have kept progress on the car to a minimum since then. Now the car is reaching the stage where once the wiring is complete, we'll be ready to fire it up.

While the engine was out of the car, I would occasionally pull the plugs and manually turn the engine. Since the engine has been reinstalled I have not turned it over at all.

The engine has been on a Dyno when it was finished, so break-in time is completed. I just wonder what precautions I should take before attempting to fire it up?

Thanks for your input...

If stored inside you could make sure it still turns by hand, make sure gas is fresh and prime carb and it should fire with no worries. Make sure radiator is up with coolant.

If its been sitting for a long period, you can pull the distributor and run the oil pump with a drill before starting it.
