Pulley help
I bought a 72 442 with no motor. I have a 70 455 with a 6 inch water pump I plan on putting into it. The problem is it has no pulleys or brackets. I have a power steering pump bracket and a KA pulley off a core motor was planning on using. It will be an air car planning on vintage air system. The vintage air site shows I need a KK pulley and a KC pulley. Is this correct or is there other pulleys that will work for this? I sold my high school olds back in 1984 now Im wanting to get one fixed up again.
Thanks for any help

I don't know anything about what Vintage Air recommends. The factory crank and water pump pulleys you can see on that chart I posted. 409807 water pump pulley is KE. I don't have the code letters for the matching 409806 crank pulley. The 1968-71 cars with the 6.1" long pump used 399405 (KC) crank pulley and 399404 (KF) water pump pulley. These should be functionally equivalent to 409806/409807.
Hi Sparky, welcome to the site! I'm doubtful of your reference as I've never seen a KK pulley. But agree with Joe that you need a KF to match the KC crank pulley. I just sold a set to a friend last week and put a KC and KF on an engine to make sure they matched and they did. Olds had a lot of pulleys and some combinations look close, but if not perfect it will case early belt failure and maybe even throw a belt. John
I'm sure I've got one, maybe several but they're likely buried in the back of the garage. I'd encourage you to create a part wanted post saying what you want. This isn't a large or heavy part, but sometimes it helps to post your location. That can help with an estimate for shipping. And right now I believe there may be a problem shipping across the US/Canada border. John
