Proper hose location

Can any one tell me if the back red hose is in its proper position?
Does it really curl up like that?

Thanks

The factory heater hose for that spot is a preformed/molded hose. You just have a piece of straight hose on there.

You can get repro versions of the correct formed/molded hoses from any of the repro parts places like Supercars Unlimited (Oregon), Fusick, Parts Place, Year One.

Here's a link to Supercars's listings for them:

Looks good under that hood!! Nice work.

Also...you have the alum spacer on your water pump....is your fan one of the 4 blade/non fan clutch versions??? Don't see that very often.

There's also a black foam "insulator" used on your longer heater hose that runs up to the water pump. It slips over that hose and it's placed over the spot where the hose runs on top of your alternator bracket...sort of an "anti-rub" insulator. Fusick and the other repro parts vendors all sell this "insulator" in case you were looking for one.

Thanks 70Post.

Yes it is a 4 blade and yes they have made a big improvement under the hood. Sounds like you have a lot of knowledge. I appreciate your input.
