Pro Comp Head Compatability

I have ordered a pair of pro comp heads from Bernard. With roller rockers I will need new valve covers and bracket modifications for the alternator & A/C . I would prefer to maintain a stock looking valve cover.....any suggestions.....

Order a pair of chrome tall valve covers with no script, sand blast them, then paint them.

I bought some cheap aluminum valve cover spacers off ebay. I think I paid $75 for them. I used stock Oldsmobile script valve covers. My Crane roller rockers fit with room to spare.

my factory covers came very close to fitting with harlandsharp rollers & polylocks. I doubled up the gaskets and they fit fine- so do the M/T aluminum covers.

eBay is showing $ 29. For "tall" valve covers. Anyone have first hand knowledge of the quality & the seller? If you double the gasket do you need longer bolts?

I run the cheap ebay tall covers on my engine but it's iron headed. They fit good. I has to notch the dr. front top corner to clear the bracket for the alternator. I just banged it to fit with a hammer. That area gets hidden anyway.

Regular bolts work with double gaskets. I also slightly dented the baffle on the inside to clear the poly locks.

Slam I'm a body man so I used a body hammer. But claw hammer will work lol. They are only 30 bucks so if you beat them I don't think you lose much the chrome tall ones are onlt 3/8 taller than stock.

Just get the ones from Ebay for 30 bucks and buy a set of Edelbrock valve cover gaskets they are 1/4 inch thick and it will clear your roller rockers and as for the Altenator bracket a little die grinder will help it clear and the A/C just use spacers! It takes some finagling but you will get it!
