Pick me a cam for a 455

I just bought a fresh 455 short block a guy had done and needed to sell it. It has 18cc slightly dished forged pistons that should give a compression ratio around 9.5-1. Stock small valved E heads, Dual plane 71 W30 Intake manifold, factory exhaust 2.25 with a pair of Dyno Max super turbo's. I am looking for a low to mid range cam with a rumble out the back. I prefer an idle around 800 rpm. The gears are 3.42, 4 speed M20, non power brakes. Would a factory W30 cam be a good choice? It seems old school to me and I want off idle power. I don't want to over cam the engine.
Thanks for any help.

Hey; I believe there were several grinds used depending on if it was an OAI and tranny type. Old school is still good schooling.

Cam selection

There are lots of cams out there for your application. However, in order to obtain a noticeable idle and have good low end, I would opt for a cam with modest duration but ground on a tight lobe sep, maybe a 108 or even a 106. That should give you what you're looking for.
