PCV and EFI

I have two question. I have a 442, 455 with the stock aluminum low rise manifold with the OAI and I believe the factory W-30 cam.
I just removed the intake to repair oils seepage in the front and rear block seals. I will now use Ultra-Blue silicone.
Does this PCV port under the manifold have any kind of factory oil baffle? I am getting some oil from the nipple where the 90 degree rubber elbow goes on.
Also, has anyone used the Q-jet Sniper on this set up? And any advise you can give me would be very helpful.
Joe

The original "turkey tray" intake gasket acts as an oil baffle. Without it, you will be sucking a lot of oil through the PCV.

I used the QJet sniper in my build on the W30 aluminum intake and hated the performance. Swapped to the Edelbrock intake and the 4150 style Sniper. Runs amazing now.

WHICH "factory W30 cam"? There were five different cams used in W30 motors from 1966-1972.

No personal experience, but I've read enough threads on CO to suggest that you might be happier with a properly built Quadrajet. Are you having problems with yours?

I’m running the Holley Q-Jet Sniper, it works very well, but I needed a pro to really tune it, not plug n play imho.

Yeah mine ran good and I tuned it on the chassis dyno but those QJet units just don't make the power output of the 4150 style Snipers due to the smaller injectors and lower cfms if you have a higher hp engine like mine.

Injector size is irrelevant really when it comes to potential power output, other than to make sure they can supply enough fuel.
The bigger issues are the fact that the Qjet version is only 715cfm. And I’ve always wondered how they can meter fuel correctly when you have two very different sized throttle bores, yet all have 100#/hr injectors.
And their (Holley) default tables will make any experienced tuner cringe, hence the reason why they run much better when those are addressed by a professional.
