Can anyone tell me the correct color for a 69 455 Block?

Thanks Dan, I knew the blocks were red. I was looking for something a little more specific like color code or a specific coloer name. Sorry, I should have been more detailed in my thread.

I read someplase that ford red was supposed to be a near perfect match. I think from olds faq? would verrify b4 buying though.

Purchase POR 15 paint. It far exceeds any other engine paint I have ever seen. Unless you are doing a 100% restoration of every bolt, nut, washer, screw, and rubber part on the car it won't be worth it in the long run to buy a sub quality paint that will just burn off of the engine the first time you start it. I am sure POR 15 has one or two red colors.
