Oldsmobile 403 header gaskets

Oldsmobile 403 header gaskets

Anyone recommend a place to purchase these? I am not having much luck...

Except for the roller cam 307s, all Olds motors use the same gaskets. Any Olds 350 or 455 gaskets work find. I'd recommend copper.

That is what I thought.. but the last two autoparts stores I talked to stated that the 403 was different, and that they are not finding any availability...

Now that you have mentioned it, what is the advantage of copper gaskets??aren't they thinner??

The good copper gaskets have an embossed bead around each port. The bead compresses to form the seal and make up for unevenness.

Thanks for the info..my other thought was...is there an advantage for the metal to metal heat transfer down the hedders
