Any suggestions on oil pump for 455 mild build?

 

You have two choices:
Melling stock replacement
Melling high volume

Anything else is a rebadged Melling.

OK, there's also the Titan, but you're probably not talking about that.

I always use the HV pump, if nothing else then for the bolt-on pickup. Just take it apart, clean it, and use the pink spring.

 

You can get the melling HV from rock auto under the speed pro brand for like $77

 

X3 for the Mellings HV pump. I've been using them in my motors for decades.

Another option is a blueprinted Melling pump, if you feel the extra cost is justified for the build.
