This is a question for those of you running a 394 and who happen to have an oil pressure gauge. With the engine warm, what is your oil pressure range, or at least idle pressure and cruising speed pressure?
Mine has 35-40 when cruising and 5-10 at idle, depending on the outside temperature, which can get pretty high in New Mexico.

Mine has 40 PSI at cruising speed and 20 PSI at idle in gear, engine at normal operatinng temperature. My car is a 1964 dynamic 88 all original with 67,000 miles.
Awesome, thanks for sharing. My idling pressure is in drive as well...goes up a little out of drive. My engine is pretty high mileage so I'm planning a rebuild; just trying to get a sense of what's "normal" in terms of oil pressure.

PS: Mine is a 64 Dynamic 88 as well. about 40k showing on the odometer, but I'm not sure of the actual mileage...it's at least 140k.
My 324 runs about 55-60 on the highway and idles at 30-35. It is not a new engine but I was surprised. That is the factory gauge which might be off a little.
