OAI Air cleaner with torker 455 intake

Does anyone know if an OAI Air cleaner will fit on an olds 455 torker intake. If not does anyone have suggestions on what modifications can be done or if there is a custom application to help it look like a stock setup? I have a torker with a quick fuel 780 carb. Would like to keep the air induction as stock looking as possible. Thanks in advance.

Sorry, the torker is too tall. I'm only aware of one aftermarket intake fitting without modifications and that's the O4B which hasn't been produced in many years.

Getting the Torker to fit is going to be a tall order, (no pun intended). I managed to make a Performer fit with recessing the air cleaner base onto the carburetor, but it was a challenge to make it functional and looking as factory as is feasible. I think the additional deck height of the Torker will prove to be prohibitive, but hey,... Prove me wrong! Somebody has got to be the first to make it happen!

It's been a while since I checked, but someone sells through Dr. Decal an all steel OAI adapter which works with taller intake manifolds. Off hand I'm not sure if that includes the Torker.

I'm working on a project right now to do this on my car. Stock breather with stock air cleaner with a Torker. Needs to come down about 1.5" to fit. Now I should say i have an aftermarket breather from The Parts place that looks perfect to me but it does sit down a about 3/4" more than a stock one when you take the rubber piece out of the groove of the breather that sits on the rim of the air cleaner. If you have a stock original air cleaner I think you would have even further to go.

Here's the plan: 1. weld a drop base bottom into the stock air cleaner. This bottom will need to be custom made to drop in the right places around my Holley 830 4150 HP carb. Hoping to get about 1" of the drop from this. Then the rim of the aircleaner will be cut to hopefully get it to drop the rest of the way. I'll update this thread when it's done good or bad. If it doesn't work I already have a custom made foam pad created from a Chevelle setup for really cheap. I did a post on the steps with pics on one of the sites years ago but I have some pics I'll post later.

Update: found a few pics:

bottom of Chevelle metal piece with foam glued to other side:

note that it's not a perfect circle but that doesn't show when pushed into the stock aircleaner. I think this metal piece was less than $50 and you can get it with the chevelle cowl hood set up.

flipped over:

metal piece with foam pushed down onto air cleaner. It's a very tight fit to get it to push in but once it's in it's not going anywhere:

I have this on my 442 now with the Torker and the ram air hood. It just barely fits but I also had the screen put on my Glasstek 71 ram air hood so it leaves the "waffle marks" from the screen on the foam because it smashes it down so much. I like that because that's what the factory setup did on my old cars with factory hoods and OAI. Sorry I don't have any pics of this and my motor is out right now.

Here's a pic of The Parts Place breather on my 70 Cutlass Supreme (Have one for each car) all done up with the white lettering the way I like. I don't have the screen on this car's hood yet so no waffle marks but will get one added at some point:

How tall of an air filter element are you using with this set up? And did you modify the stock base?

For the Chevelle top with no breather nothing has to be done to the base and the air filter element is just standard - I think it's either 2.5" or 3" and then you can put the stock black lid on that only covers the edge of the filter like this:

BTW - see my other post about the project to try to make the stock breather fit on top of a Torker by welding in a drop base. Still don't know if it will fit until the hood goes back on but will update good or bad here:
