Is this Nodular crank from a 1970 Toro any better than any other Crank offered for the 455 (other than of course the '68 forged unit). I know I can get a steel unit but will this suffice to give the short block an above average beating capability? Just how much can this take with ARP studs, straps or girdle? I hope this picture isn't too big.

 

I think there were only two types of 455 cranks - the forged ones and the nodular cast iron ones.

 

That crank will take 600hp with the right parts.

 

A crank out of a Toro is not different than any other nodular BBO crank.
