New guy with a 425 question…
Hopefully not a common question but I’m not good at the search either.
I have a 425, 60 over. Not my rebuild but is “fresh”, as in been sitting for quite a few years, rebuilt.
Open to the weather in spots.
lifters are collapsed and as rusty as any dodge truck. I am only seeing a lifter seat height of 2” for these, but measuring I am seeing that these are 2.05.
my pushrods are 9.545 (over the drilled holes and I haven’t done the math to count for the flat where the hole is.
so I guess, what seat height lifter should it have, and pushrod.
also, I understand what the lifters do, but what kind of tolerance do I hav? If I bought 2.05, think the extra .050” will bottom out if I do in fact need the 2.00?
block is the 45° with the .842 lifters.
