Neeed Info For Race Engine Builder

Looking for info on an Olds knowledgeable engine builder/machinist (or has an experienced machine shop he uses) to rebuild my 461 BBO in my 70' race car. Would prefer someone in Florida panhandle down to Orlando/Tampa, or lower Georgia up to Atlanta, or lower Alabama. Will ship on a pallet or deliver if reasonable distance from Tallahassee, Florida 32303 Zip Code.

Will need to check/replace necessary parts to refresh long block. Engine blew a RH head gasket as temp on a 1/4 run at night went 220*, so I am pretty sure it collapsed the rings. It is puffing out the RH valve cover pretty good. I replaced the head gskt, (Cometic MLS .045") cleaned all the parts and flushed the engine pretty good. Does not have oil pressure at idle, however when rev. to 1,800 rpm it would build oil pressure to about 10-15 psi. I shut the engine off right away. It did not have any usual noises. Sooooo possible brgs. wiped out too! Do not really want to modify any further as I am pretty happy with how it runs. Would consider sending complete engine if engine builder has access to a dyno and the price was reasonable!

There isn't any shop in this area that is "Olds Friendly". Would rather send/deliver/pay for someone who is!

Cutlassefi (Mark Remmel) is in central Florida, you might consider trying him.
