I want to install an aftermarket gauge setup. My dilema is the water temp sender. I have the choice of taking out the idiot light sender and using that location for the aftermarket one, or eliminate the vacuum switch for the distributer and only use straight ported vacuum. Any opinions as to which location is best?? Do I eliminate the idiot light or vacuum switch??

The idiot light has no effect on engine performance. That is the one to get rid of.
