Need help :(

Hi guys,
meanwhile I’m so fed up with my 52 I’m ready to burn it down…

I had an oil leak because of the rear crank sealing so I pulled the engine and trans and got everything overhauled.
New piston rings, new sealing (got me the rubber version of the rear crank sealing), transmission overhauled, etc.

So everything is back together and in the car, everything looks fine, today I had the car idling for a while and drove a little bit around the block.
as I came back getting the car backed up into the garage a saw fresh oil on the ground…

it’s dripping from this cover but I really can’t figure out where it comes from…
as I said:
- rear crank sealing: new ✅
- oil pan sealing: new ✅
- every other sealing: new ✅

Is it possible that the oil is coming anywhere from the flywheel? Is there even oil?

please help me I need suggestions bc I’m done with it…

Consider going to Amazon and buying a one once bottle of UV traceable dye:

Hallo aus Ontario!

Looks like you've done a lot of work chasing down this leak! I have a few ideas...
1. Check your valve cover gaskets. Sometimes when new, they don't have a good "crush" and oil pressure can push oil past them at the back. The oil runs down the back of the block, and leaks at the lowest point. Try dragging you finger across the block belowr the valve cover
2. Do you have an oil pressure gauge or oil pressure sending unit? Check that. Sometimes they will leak. I had a loose oil pressure sending unit on a 68 GTO that I used to own...hunting for that leave drive me crazy!

Try not to get disheartened, and keep searching. Let us know how you make out!

hi, looks like I was kinda blind…
the underside was so full of oil I couldn’t locate the source.
because of your tip I think found the leak, the oil is coming from the distributor and I’m going to look for a nice rubber o-ring sealing instead of this shitty paper stuff
