My new hookers
My new hookers
Hi all,
In a previous thread I asked if hooker header would fit a 455 71 supreme. You all replied yes, and guess what, you where right. Here are some pictures I promised to make. Would have liked to make a few more, but you know how it goes when covered in greas and feeling fatigued from working above your head and such.

there not in order but you'll get the idea.
The removal of the old headers wasn't hard at all, every bolt came loose quite easily. The installation of the new headers wasn't that hard either. The only setbacks I had was the last bolt on the drivers side, near the firewall (PITA) But eventually I got it in by letting the header hang loose on the other bolts that where like 1 turn in, and putting it in from underneath twisting my arm and hand between the starter and header in an unnatural way.
In the end I found out that I didn't actually had to remove the starter, it can slide through, atleast this header could.
The brake distribution unit was allready moved to the top of the chassis and welded down. No sweat there.
I used a vice grip and a screwdriver that would fit the dipstick tube and yanked it out. tapped it in with the screwdriver and a hamer later.
So thnx everyone that helped me out.
greetings Clint
