Looking for Mechanical Fuel Pump Recommendation

Looking for recommendations for a mechanical fuel pump for a mildly built 455. Headers, 830cfm Quick fuel Carb, performer intake, and cam.

Average parts store replacement should suffice. More important to have a regulator and gauge, so you actually know what PSI the pump is sending to the carb.

I recommend RobbMc. In my case, the Holley chrome mechanical pump ran the engine out of fuel at about the 1/8 mile marker. That was with Tri-Carbs so any carb with smaller bowls would be impacted even sooner with that or other standard-volume mechanical pumps

When I replaced the fuel pump in my '72 code Supreme I went with the AC Delco 41567. I'm running a Holley 770 Street Avenger, .030 bore and a W30 cam and it does well for me.

Good Lord those Holley pumps are junk! I think all my Olds buddies had them at one time or another, every one of them cracked or leaked fuel (both internally and externally!). Other than looking pretty (I guess if you like chrome) just about any other mechanical pump worked better

Here's a picture of mine. All was well for many years until I installed a new camshaft and started spinning the engine to 5500 RPM, then all of a sudden I had fuel delivery issues. Did an optical inspection and voila, the classic crack through the pump body. An internet search revealed this was a very common issue.

Even the smallest McRobb is a great until. It pushed my car to 11.00 with no starvation anywhere on the track.
Switched to a full aeromotive set up and gained nothing.
Good luck!

Thanks for the replies. I definitely will not be getting the Holley.
