J heads to C heads help

I changed my J heads with C heads. The J heads have a 1 piece fulcrum for the rocker springs and appear to be cast. The C heads have a 3 piece fulcrum and are stamped steel. The stamped version also has washers under the bolts as the 1 piece does not. I am using the same push rods from the J heads with the springs that were on the C heads. Is this common? or is there something more to this. Should I use the J fulcrums with the C heads or the C fulcrums with the C heads? Does it matter? both sets of heads are all stock.

Thanks for any help
Mike

Aren't the stamped steel, aftermarket replacement? The Sealed Power replacement I bought are what you mentioned but no washers.

Anything 3 piece is aftermarket. They're an improvement over the one piece aluminum ones. Will work with up to around .520 lift cams.

Last time I tried to save used rocker arm parts, I needed 3+ sets of used parts to scavenge enough "good" stuff to make one functional set.

Used fulcrums are almost guaranteed to be junk.

The aftermarket parts have a better chance of still being good, simply because they PROBABLY have fewer miles on them. Check everything carefully.

Did you have hardened exhaust seats installed, or did you not have a valve job done?

Have you driven it yet after the swap? What’s the power difference?
