First timer here and asking if these gaps between the block and Intake are ok or if they seem to be too big. I have the head-to-Intake gaskets in place (dry). I also have Intake bolts on the four corners to ensure alignment. Is so, then I plan to use a bead of black RTV across them.
Here are pictures of the front and rear, both about the same.
Two bits of advice. Use Permatex Ultra Black (I got the stuff in the aerosol can) and be sure to make the bead extra tall. You'll be hating life if you don't make the bead tall enough and find an oil leak after everything is torqued down.
Also put a bead around water connection where the intake gasket and heads mate both sides on install. Don't ask what happened to me the first time i didn't do that.
