Intake/Cam compatibility question

Hey guys I've been fighting a drivability problem during hot start-ups which caused me to pull the intake looking for vacuum leaks. I found five. And the front two cylinders and rear two cylinders were starting to suck coolant past the gaskets. I know this Torker intake has been cut to compensate for the heads and block being milled, but by lookiong at the marks left on the intake and seing how the gaskets split, warped, and pulled away from the surfaces, I can tell it was cut too far. This is not surprising to me after seeing this machine shop doing some pretty nasty work in the past. It is sitting too low, and is not close enough to the cylinder heads to seal and clamp the gaskets properly. I have a Performer intake I can put on it, but I'm not real sure how well it will work with the Comp 292h (part# 42-236-4)? Is any one running the Performer w/ the 292h? This is a 95% street car that may make 2 TNT trips a year. Here is just a couple of quick pics. Thanks for any input guys. I'm learning the way of the Olds big block, so please bear with me on the silly newbe questions that you hear often.

Use the Performer but cut down the center divider about a half inch and slope it towards the deep side.
I used one on a 455 with a 238/246 Hyd Roller, ran great, made 500lbft of torque at just over 3800rpm.

Hmmm,I discovered the same breaks in my Fel Pro p/n 1356 performance intake gaskets when I took my Torker off to put on a 04B. Try a different brand of intake gasket, I used SCE.

Is the SCE or Mr.Gasket brand gaskets set that you guys used any thicker than the Fel-Pro?
