How to adjust fast idle on ‘69 Toronado?

Here's a photo of my carb.

As I noted, the car will start right up, but not kick up on high idle. After it sits for a few minutes, then it will start to increase idle speed. The idle speed won't kick back down until you drive it. Any ideas?

The normal operation is to depress the gas pedal to set the choke and fast idle on a step of its cam, start the car, then after the choke starts opening any throttle application will drop the fast idle to a lower notch on the cam, which could be an intermediate engagement or fully disengaged, depending upon how far the choke is open.

As Kenneth noted, these old cars don't manage the rpm automatically...
- It takes a movement of the accelerator to preset the fast idle before you start a cold engine
- To drop the fast idle speed once the car starts to warm up, takes a movement of the accelerator

Can you post a video of a cold start? Is the choke pull off functioning? Maybe it’s idling slow on a cold start because it’s loading up. As the choke heater warms up and the choke becomes to open the engine speed would naturally increase. Just a idea.
