Never heard of one.

When did these creatures walk the earth?

I believe the carb was introduced in the late 60s or early 70s. It was rated at 950cfm and had one big oval throttle blade in the secondary side with the standard two holes up front. I think I remember AMC using them. Occasionally you will see some intake manifolds with a little notch cut into the rear wall separating the right and left halves of the manifold. Many mistakenly think this is to help the dual plane act more like a single plane but it's not. It's there so the throttle blade doesn't hang on the wall separating the two halves at WOT. It's designed for a big block (the AMC thing doesn't make sense, lol) with that kind of air flow. It was more a NASCAR design than anything else. I haven't heard anything bad about them and they use most standard Holley parts, at least up front.
If you're going to use it on a dual plane intake just be sure to notch that wall or it can't open all the way.

I couldn't tell you as I haven't seen one in 30+ years. A buddy ran a Camaro drag car with one for a couple seasons- actually set a track record with the thing.

I remember a local Chevy punk bought one and set it on a dual plane manifold without relieving the divider and then talked stone schit about it because it ran worse than the QuadraJet he replaced with it (and didn't have common sense enough to realize why). He sold it (cheap!) to a Mopar guy who set it on a Duster 360 with a Torker and it ran like a raped ape. As TD has mentioned, borderline too much carb for that engine.

here it is I ran it years ago and it was a major step up from my 780 but it is only a single pumper so it has a flat spot but when it catches it turns on. It dont have choke plates at all. My motor buddy said he has a secondary tube kit for it Im going to try it on my 462 Im building just trying to figure which one it is because they made 2 models and thought you guys might like to see it, its a cool carb I have had it for 30 years
