Heater tap leaking help.

Hi there folks,
Well, if it’s not one thing it’s another but I do enjoy playing with cars so be it.
My heater tap is leaking from a small vent hole I think it is. It constantly dribbles and upon removing the heater tap checked it out and all good re vacuum.

Is this little vent hole needed as I was thinking of blocking it?

If this tap is useless with the little hole plugged up I can either block where it attaches to the block or find something temporary at the auto parts store until I get a new tap from the U.S.

Thanks for the help.
john.

The hole is a vent for the vacuum diagram. Also lets you know when it has failed It probably will not work correctly if you block it off.

Beautiful car !!

John - I meant to ask you this on your other thread RE: ignition coil.

Did you order your jack stands on-line?

EDIT: I was attempting to be humorous. I like them.
