Fuel tank sump

Fuel tank sump

Just picked up a fresh fuel tank and a Competition Engineering sump for my E85 conversion. The Olds tanks have a lot of narrow vanes compared some tanks and the flanges of the sump don’t line up well, which is a problem for getting a nice welding surface. I called Jegs and Summit, both store brands are the same size. Has anyone found an alternative sump that may be narrower and line up better? Flange is about 8.5” outside edge to outside edge and 6” - 7.5” would work.
