I need opinions on this: Prior to my first long road trip I installed factory interior fender aprons on my 64 Dynamic 88. 394 2 Brl with A/C ..The reasons were the following: First they were missing. Second I had been told they help with the cooling operation of the engine.
My trip was during an average hot day (80-85 deg). I did not think much about it until an hour into my drive I notice less heat entering the car interior. Later when I was stopped in a parking lot I opened the door and noticed I no longer felt hot air entering thru the door jam.
Aside from it giving the engine compartment a more finished look I do think it made a differance...or am I overheated and going crazy!!
