Fan

I need a fan for my 1970 442 w-30. I have learned this would be H.D. cooling so I believe it would be a 6 blade clutch fan. Please correct me if im wrong. I was curious to know of the diameter and exact part I.D. if there is one for fan and clutch because I also need a shroud which I know is reproduced. Im thinking these fans were used on other GM cars too so wondering about interchange?

I have 7 blade fans but I don't believe those are correct because Ive never seen 7 just 4 and 6 blade.

I have a nice 6-blade fan with clutch that came off my 1970 455 Vista Cruiser with A/C and HD cooling. I suspect those are the same that came on your car. But my 1982 parts book had already delisted the fan and clutch so I'm not sure. Perhaps someone can verify.

The correct/original fan would be 6 blades and measure 19" tip-to-tip/outer edge-to-outer edge on the blades.

The blades are a bit staggered with wider spacing b/n the two "pairs" of 3 blades. I would post a pic but the stupid camera card froze up. Anyway, one "set" of 3 blades would be at 10:00, 12:00 and 2:00 and the other "set" of 3 blades would be a 4:00, 6:00 and 8:00.

No PN stamped into the fan....just "FRONT" on the side that faces forward.

I have couple of these also.
This is the better one. I believe to be original in great shape. $80 plus shipping.

The other one need some paint work and I think is an aftermarket clutch $40 plus shipping.

I think the first one is an original off my 1970 supreme with HD cooling. The other may be a repro or a different application not 100% sure what it is from.
