Engine stall when idling for 15 min
Year? Engine specs? Stock or modified? Points or GM HEI or aftermarket electronic? Carb type? Fuel pump type? Etc, etc. There are only about a bazillion possible causes. Try and help us narrow it down.
So again, points in the distributor? And just to confirm, this is a factory built U-code 455 car and not a swap, right?
If so, I'd suggest looking at a coil that's going bad when it gets hot. I'd also put a fuel pressure gauge on the car and look at what's going on with fuel pressure when it stalls out.

As of now I have never had it stall while driving just started after ideling for a long time. Was recharging a/c and had it idling for a long time and than died thought it was a one off or because of a/c so ran it again today and idled without a/c on and again died from long idel
All the more reason to go over the tune. While your at it, its a good time to check/change all fluids, inspect the brakes, pack the wheel bearings, front end, front/rear suspension, fuel lines, and look at how old the tires are. I do this with every car I buy.
I already ordered new trans filter and gaskets and planned on doing fluid changes ect. Just weird that it was running good than all of a sudden but than again I haven't let car idle that long without driving it wonder if the air flow while driving has been keeping it cool enough not to show symptoms.
Apparently your definition of "stock" engine is very different from mine... Look, I'm not trying to be a hardass here, but the mind reading thing still isn't working, and without having the car in front of us, it's REALLY difficult to provide you with useful troubleshooting information without knowing the EXACT configuration of the car and engine. From the engine photo, we can see that you have an aftermarket intake with some Qjet that may or may not be the right one for that engine. You have a PCV valve but a plug in the other valve cover so no way to actually ventilate the engine. You've got an aftermarket air cleaner. Apparently you don't have a fan shroud - what size radiator is in the car? How hot does it get when it stalls out? There are a LOT of potential causes, and the number goes up as the configuration departs from stock.
like I stated I just bought car about a month ago and i am not a 442 expert so I am not 100% sure what is stock or not. Its a quadrajet 4 brl carb and I have fan shroad but it needs replaced as has cracks in the plastic. I have driven the car a bunch since I got it and this has been first issue so just trying to figure it out. I am definitely a beginner so I apologize if I don't have all the answers
Agree with Joe P.
The engine is modified. It's not the one born with the car has open air cleaner and aluminum intake. The coil would be suspect and tune up next. Don't go off what got sold to you.
It also has a Holley / Mr Gasket mechanical fuel pump. While those are fairly good performance pumps, they are prone to cracking through the pump arm pin area, which can cause low fuel volume issues.
