Engine job 71 455

Thinking about getting my Engine rebuilt
i cant stand the blow by it has
Anyone have any connections in Tucson AZ
I was gonna have them take it out and reinstall also.
I would love to take it out my self and send short block out and heads
but don't have the equipment

About the only equipment you need is an engine hoist and maybe a leveler. You can buy both for under $200. That is a lot less than the labor is going to be to R&R the engine. Then you could sell the hoist and leveler when you are done. Just a thought.

What do you mean by blow by?

Blue smoke out the tailpipes?

Oil residue in the pvc system?

Something else?

Consider doing a leakdown test as a diagnostic to see what, if any internal work is needed. Good luck!!!

yeah my Neighbor just offered me an engine crane
And he said we could put the motor in his truck to bring it to the shop that’s going to do the rebuild I guess that’s an idea

When you take a breather off the passenger valve cover it it hoves smoke,
no loss of power

Is the PCV working? Same smoke or any pressure if oil fill cap is removed vs. breather?

No pressure when you take oil fill Off but it’s smokes out of there also when you pull the PCV he comes out the PVC hole to
