Effective stud length

How does one determine which rocker stud to use? I have the Speedmaster aluminum heads and am going with Harland Sharp roller rockers (S5003). I know I need a 7/16-14 mount thread and a 7/16-20 adjuster thread, how do I determine the proper height of the stud? There are many to choose from.

That rocker sits kind of high so I’d do around a 1.900.
Who did the heads for you? Just curious.

Charlie Hemphill out of Durham, NC did the heads. He’s an old school drag racer who has done a lot of NASCAR and late model work.

Gotcha
You'll just need to make sure you enough shank for good rocker support as well as using a stud that’s not overly long.

That’s where I’m at. Figured someone has been there. I was leaning toward the 1.9”.
