does my 58 need a radiator fan shroud?

thanks for reading... I have a 1958 Olds 88 with no fan shroud...does anyone know if this car came with a shroud for the fan? I cannot find out anywhere else...My car runs hot ( 205F) in the summer.... i am trying to add a fan shroud to cool off the engine.. i have alreadt replaced thermostat and water pump along with a good coolant flush. It still runs hot. Please help me figure out if this car had a shroud on it..THANKS

I would say yes it should have one. I can't think of may cars that did not have a fan shroud by the late fifties, or at least an upper radiator support that had some semblance of shape like a shroud.

These guys may be able to help you out.
