The tapered seat plug is incorrect for a G Ga head.

The R 44-55 is a gasketed plug and correct for your head.

I think I'm missing something. When asking what plugs to run & you get r44 r45s, why did you use autolite 24 to begin with?

I was going to post an image of a tapered vs. gasket plug & accompanying threaded head style & was late to the game in posting. I should have just posted the link, instead. Glad you figured it out. BTW, I believe the "s" indicates a hotter plug range.

The letter "S" in the suffix of an AC spark plug indicates an extended tip.

TS suffix is tapered seat with extended tip. No second gen Olds V8 factory heads use taper seat plugs.
