Morning everyone,

I just replaced a leaking coolant line that runs from my heater control valve to the heater core and obviously a good amount of coolant leaked out in the process. Not a lot, but probably the somewhere near the contents of the heater core. To get rid of this air, refresh my memory. I'm thinking I just top up the cooling system and run the engine with the cap off the radiator and the heat set to full hot? Something along those lines? It's been a while since I did this, can't quite remember the process ('66 Toronado, manual air conditioning).

Just top off the radiator, start and run the engine until the thermostat opens and then top it off again. Put the cap on, drive it and then resume your normal checking intervals.

The flow valve needs to be opened too. Slide the heat temp control to hot to do so.
