I found a 66 425 in a Toronado today at my local Pull-A-Part yard for $99..I'm going to pull it tomorrow, What is this motor worth? $99 I'm sure,, I think I will hang on to it though and drop it in my 74 260Z...It has been done before, fairly easy too. What do you think?

 

That would be an AWESOME project! If that engine is without cracks/damage, I'm sure it would fetch more than $100 if/when the right Olds enthusiast came along, although it has the cam bank angle not everyone is crazy about. I'd love to see the 425 Z at the 1/4 mile with really quiet exhaust. You'd embarass a LOT of Camaros and Mustangs with that thing.

I know I saw one with a Toronado package in it before, I think there is an opel that had a transplant like that too. Good idea.

So then it would be a 730Z technically, right?
