Question Christmas Intake cookies! Opinions?!

Hello Big Block Buddies.

Pulled the intake on my '77 GMC Motorhome with 98k.

Not sure if this has been done in the past, I'd say no.

Want to block off the middle exhaust port. Bought a gasket kit that includes a stainless steel square for both sides.

Do you think that would be fine or should I fill that crossover in with aluminum?

Also, just by the pictures provided, anything look off or something I should look for or address?

Thanks everybody.

If you want to fill the exhaust crossover then melt aluminum into the intake manifold.

You can also use these: Edelbrock Oldsmobile Cast Iron Exhaust Crossover plugs 1Pr
They require some grinding/filing to fit.

If I remember correctly, it took 3 tubes to block off both sides. They don’t rattle, the seal off the crossover completely, and it doesn’t burn out.

Are you converting to an electric choke?

Good point, with the exhaust crossover blocked a hot air choke won’t work.

While there, I would do a quick lifter and cam inspection.
