cast iron intake 442

I have a cast iron intake that came off of a 70 442. It has a PCV valve in it. Does anyone know about these

what is your question, the cast iron manifolds for A-body 455s are all the same. Depends on whether the car was manual or automatic and with or without AC on where the PVC valve was, some were inline from the 3 -T vacuum switch others were installed in a hose coming off the drivers side valve cover and others were installed off a fitting on the manifold I believe near the front passenger side. I can check later which application - just let me know what your question is. Actually the aluminum manifolds are the same as the cast iron just different material so 40lbs lighter otherwise they are the same configuration.

There was a somewhat rare intake that found its way onto some of the non-W30 442's. It had the nipple in the front, just like the aluminum version, but had a different casting number compared to the common 404521.I have also seen this done to the 404521 as well. All of the intakes have a boss in that area,to drill for the nipple.

Mine is a casting 404521. I didn't know whether it was anything unusual or not. I have not seen any like before.

That intake was used on 70-72 4 speed cars with the dual-breather air cleaners. There was an air pipe and breather from both valve covers to the air cleaner base, just like the W-30 cars.
