Carb Question

The entry gas line to my carb is stripped need some advice on rebuilding or what the fix might be. I would like to stay with the original carb.

Thanks

You have two options. The quick and dirty way is to use a self-tapping oversize repair fitting. These are available from Dorman Products. Unfortunately, it's difficult to remove and reinstall these fittings to replace the filter without cutting new threads every time, so I usually remove the stock filter, install the fitting, and run an external inline filter. The second option is to have a helicoil installed. There are services that do this for Qjets if you don't want to pay for the helicoil kit.

Hey Joe how are you?
It was great to meet you at the nationals.
Thanks for your quick response I think I am going with the Helicoil option.

Same here. I assume you made it home with no problems. What's going on with your paint issue?

Yeah no problems on the way home and the paint seems to have resided a bit. They are going to redo the areas affected in the fall.
