Cam question

Anybody run a Engle sm20/22h cam for BBO ?
496 in.
512 ex.
266
274
Gross 310
320

110 lobe center
Cant read the rpm range on the engle site . I think it says 1800-5800 but not sure the "old" cam spec are really hard to read .

Cam Question

I ran the one just below it (216/226 @ .050, .488/.496 lift) on a 350. Very mild, but that may have been because the cam wasn't to spec. It had less duration (6 degrees) and lift (.010 cam lift) than advertised. I know everybody thinks Engle makes the "best cams for an Oldsmobile", but I would argue that till the end of time. I went to a custom Erson Hydraulic Roller and wouldn't go back to anything else.

From an early Mondello catalog:

JM-20-22
Lift = .496”/.512”
Advertised duration = 266°/274°
Duration @ .050” = 226°/230°
Lobe centers = 110°
Type = Hydraulic

Applications = Semi-hot street cam with great power and torque.
RPM range = 1,400-6,000
Approximate idle = Semi-rough
Hi-stall torque converter = Yes
Head work and headers = Yes
3.41 or lower gears = No

Thanks for the reply's ! Would this cam need any parts to make it work due to lift/duration as in pushrods, rocker arms ? Sorry not trying to be lazy just not sure where to draw the line on what cam works and when.
10.25 pistons I believe

Does anybody run a cam similar ? Curious about "hot street" I know I know
to one guy its radical to another its not.

O.K. take it easy on me : Olds newby

No.

Always use the springs (preferably new) that are recommended by the grinder.
