Didnt mean to post that first one. My 72 had a 350 with ac, now has 455 with no ac, but still has the ac setup (3 groove pully, waterpump) If i was to get a non ac waterpump, would it throw the alignment of the Alt and PS pullys off? If i leave this setup on there, does it put any unessasary load/drain on the engine?

The non-A/C water pump is shorter and requires a different pulley to line up properly. The A/C water pump is the same one used with the HD cooling on W-cars, so you really want to keep it.
