I believe there were smaller valve versions of C heads used so check the valve sizes.
I could be wrong on this.

Correct, same basic casting could be machined for either big or small valves.

There were also differences in the heat cross over ports. I have a set of C heads with small cross over ports that are about 5/8" wide by 1 1/4" tall. This is much smaller than the heat cross over ports on another set of C heads I have. Why the difference and was it model specific?

If you have the 72 Ga heads from your 72 455,use those. You will not find any differences in performance between the two.

My location is Germany ;-(

About the valves in the C´s:
Intake can be 2.000, or 2.072"
Exhaust are the same 1.625" correct?

About my 72 Ga :
any way to see what valve size are installed without remove the heads and measure it?

thanks

You need the head off to measure the valve.

Brian, correct me if i am wrong...my English is not the best.

You say,i don´t feel any significant difference in Performance between the big valves C´s and the big valves Ga´s (the C´s not worth the extra money)?

thanks

Correct. Virtually all of the big valve heads will give similar performance.
