Brothers Quadrajets

Brothers Automotive is advertising "new" Rochester Carbs for just about every application possible. Does anyone have any experience with these? At $489 they're not cheap but they do solve the problem of searching for the right one used.

Oh, my.
If you have any bit of trouble with that, you are up $hit creek without a paddle in a chicken-wire canoe... Horrible customer service from them.

I would get a good core from a member here and send it off to a rebuilder like Sparkey's and have it rebushed and rebuilt.

I bought one from them years ago - seemed too good to be true W30 carb I asked multiple times, "its the real deal correct, right number, no re-stamp!?"

them "Yes our carbs are done by an expert this is all he does, blah blah blah, not one of our employees but a old guy we have a long relationship with."

Bought the carb, Stevie Wonder could have made a fake stamping look better - just my opinion. Never will buy from them again

Dealing with that "steaming pile" of a vendor is kinda like a rite of passage. You'll only do so ONCE, and then your lesson is learned.

Brothers carbs

i got a correct numbers matching carb for my 72 olds from them and it worked perfectly, brand new, right out of the box. had no problems dealing with them. took about three weeks to get it due to it being on back-order. i finished the restoration on the Olds around 2003, and dealt primarily with B.A.P. I always got good service from these guys. who knows, maybe over the years they got slack and customer service suffered as a result of it. i can only speak from my experience- take it for what it's worth.

Had a run in with Steve back in the late nineties ordered parts 6 weeks later no parts! Talked about a credit card bill that I have but no parts.
I told Steve no parts, than I will have to protest to my credit card company with no received goods.
Steves reply "if you do that, I will only except cash or money order from now on"
My reply was "Don't worry I will never do business again with you"
I only call Year One or Fusicks, no issues and when you do have one, it is taken care of!

JMO but I wouldn't trust a reproduction carb. You see the quality issues with simople parts. What happens with something more involved? Just think that only one part in that carb has to be inferior quality and the whole thing will work like junk. I agree a better bet is to get a core and have it rebuilt.

Perhaps tell what carb number you need, maybe someone has a spare.

I have a spare 7028254, sort of.
