Bronze Valve Guides

Bronze Valve Guides
Several years ago, I got a pretty good deal on a set of "C" Heads already done.
Although nothing exotic was done, for some reason, bronze valve guides were installed.
I'm not an engine guy, but, it was always my understanding that the main purpose
of bronze guides was to protect the valve stems of expensive valves in a hi-perf engine.
I'm using these heads on a relatively stock build.
I'm not thinking of the guide causing damage.
I was thinking more in terms of the bronze being softer than steel
causing the guides to wear out sooner.
Also, the bronze guide and the head being dissimilar metals
with different coefficients of expansion causing the guides to loosen in the head.
Is either of these a factor?
Any negatives to using the bronze guides on driver/cruise-in car?
(Engine is a 461, 10.5:1, W-30 cam)
