Boring a 455 block for a sleeve

We have a 71 455 block in our shop and it's getting a sleeve. When our machinist was making his final cut, he misread the micrometer and accidently bored the block .008 too large for the sleeve. The sleeve OD is 4.378", so now, the block opening is 4.386". We can get a sleeve that's .015 OD larger than stock (4.393").

The question is can we safely bore the block another .005"-.006" (maintaining a .001" -.002" press fit) to 4.391-4.392?

The machinist couldn't tell you?

I had #8 sleeved last year, but have no idea what he did. The piston fit when he was done. We'll find out in a week or 2

I cannot imagine an extra .005 making a difference at this point.

If you are really concerned with it Powerbore will make you a sleeve to whatever size you want but it might take a few weeks. https://powerbore.com/
