Got hold of some Big Valve C heads for the olds 455, dont know what year they are from but they are in good condition and they are complete with valves and rocker arms.

Are they a good upgrade from the smog-heads i have on my 455 -73? The asking price is about 600$, but maybe i can get it down a bit. Is it worth it? I got some headers and new camshaft im going to install as well.

Note also that i live in sweden and stuff like this is not always very easy to get ahold of. Was going to order edelbrock alu heads from the states but the shipping is quite a lot of money.

 

Yes they are a good set of heads if they are in good shape.
Use quality heads gaskets the first time so they don't leak between the block and heads.
With what you are doing should be a nice running car.

 

Try the Procomps, they're 2/3 the cost of the Edelbrocks and will still be an upgrade, even over and above the C heads.
