Big Block giving some smoke from passenger side.

Anyone know a good Olds Engine guy in Connecticut?
Or,
Does anyone know where I can get comprehensive engine building info before I take it on myself?

If the smoke is coming from the engine itself after running 5 -10 minutes after startup, then the valve cover gasket is leaking onto the exh manifold.

All I can recommend is to use the fel-pro "perma-dry plus" rubber gaskets and install with no sealers. These things seal great and the cover can be removed and installed, reusing the gaskets.
Clean the surfaces well and make sure the covers are not warped around the bolt holes. The one on my Ford is holding up great!

Also, while you have the covers off, make sure that the return holes are not plugged up (end of each side of head). If so, then they overfill, and either pump oil up to a failing valve cover gasket- and out there, or they will be sucked down the intake valve because an original umbrella valve seal is a shield, not a seal.
Either way-it's gonna smoke!
Good luck
Jim
