Question Any good ideas for exhaust manifolds?

Hey all,

I'm still trying to figure out if I can install my 455 from a 98 into my cutlass. I now know the factory exhaust manifolds won't work in the cutlass, so I started looking for options here.

I've found reproduction factory manifolds and a few choices for headers. Any thoughts or comments about what you guys are running? Money is tight, but I want it to work.

Thanks, as always.

best manifolds are the branched 442 manifolds used from 69-73. You can find them in various condition used for 200-250 and repro's from Thornton. headers will help make power but you probably already know all the hassles they can cause.

You really don't have a lot of choice here. It's either W/Z manifolds or headers.

Thanks again guys. I saw the reproduction ones on flea bay, they seemed to make the most sense.

If you don't find the internally branched ones, I have some unpitted desert SW used ones.

Yeah, I'd love to do some kind of trade. I've got the whole rest of the 1969 98 - lights, electric motors, glass, etc. PM me if anyone wants to work a trade.

I have a set of x/z manifolds no visible difference to the w/z manifolds that I can tell. I want 250.00 dollars for them. If you are interested we can arrange for some pics to be sent your way. Let me know.
