Hi All,
I am in the process of a restoration of a 69 442 conv. I am using a 455 in place of the original 400 at this point. I want to use an aftermarket intake, but the re-build will also consist of a W-30 dual snorkel air cleaner and under bumper scoops. The question of the day is what intake will allow me to use the air cleaner assy and fit under the original hood? O4B, Performer, Torker?

An 04B or Performer probably will work. The Torker is a single plane low profile will probably fit but may not work with your application.

 

My 69 has the dual snorkel air cleaner with the scoops under the bumper. I have had both a Performer, and Torker on the car over the years. The Torker is on the car now. Either intake fits under the hood, but the performer does have a little more clearance.
