68 442 455 4-speed Headers ?

I couldn't find a really good place to post this question, but I figured I needed to be talking to big block owners so here goes. Has anyone found a quality header that fits? Thanks for any help?

I used Hooker 3902's on my '68 400. Fit very well. No "massaging" required.

BTW, this is in a '68 4-4-2 with a 4spd. I ran a PYPES 2.5" exhaust from headers to bumper.

I really appreciate your help. I was hoping there was a 'no massaging required' option. Thanks

You will need to "disconnect" the driver's side engine mount and lift it a couple inches off of the frame-side mount to slide the header in from below. While I don't think it was actually necessary for the header install, I disco'd the passenger side also and lifted the engine straight up from below - I was replacing the engine-side of the engine mounts in the same operation. For lifting the engine, I made a "saddle" out of 2X6's to lift against the bottom rails of the block/oil pan, rather than push against the oil pan directly. Others have lifted their engines from above with a hoist. If you use the saddle idea, you'll note from the pic below that the starter has to come off as well. Mine needed new wiring.

Thanks for the additional info. I would have made the mistake of setting the engine in and then trying to fit the headers.
